EAR CONING EXPERIENCE THE ANCIENT SOOTHING BENEFITS OF CLEANSING THE EARS AND PSYCHE Ear coning or ear candling as it is also called, is an ancient, natural and simple therapeutic process to aid / cleanse the ear canals and sinuses. Metaphysically ear coning works to clear negative energies from the auric field, and the psyche. Ear coning has been / is used in India China Tibet, Sumeria, Egypt and is still in practice with many Native American tribes for clearing the ears, sinuses and psyche. Ear coning is still used as a gentle way to stimulate the body's circulation to the ear and upper lymph system which brings about the body's natural healing abilities. The herbal smoke from the candling may also positively affect the sinus cavities offering a cleansing type action, The warmth from the burning candle itself can warm excess ear wax in the ear canal. making it easier for the body to eliminate on its own. The healing smoke has been used for centuries to ease ear aches. WHAT IS AN EAR CONE? Ear cones resemble cotton candy cones; wide at one end and tapered at the other end. Cones range in size from 8" to 14". The longer the cone, the longer the burn, the longer the burn, the longer the draw is effective. Ear cones / candles ar usually made by taking fine, natural cotton or gauze, spiriling it on a rod and dipping it in bees wax or a mixture of bees wax and estracts; oils and or herbs, and letting it set. (Parafin wax may also be used) HOW DOES IT WORK? The theory of ear coning is that as the oxygen in the ear is absorbed from the flame, a gentle vacuum is produced. pulling out the excess wax and / or foreign material from the ear canal and capturing it in the stern of the ear cone. After the procedure and the flame is extinguished, the candle can be cut with scissors and the wax and / or debris can be seen. FYI Tiny reflex areas just inside the opening of the ear canal are physically stimulated by the gentle pressure of the cone. Stimulating these points, as in reflexology or acupressure, positively affects corresponding parts of the body and may be especially beneficial to the sinus and head area.
